I took this this morning with the e500.

 

do I waste maoney on blowing it up or re take with a better background?

If it was mine I'd want a sharper focus, and some more light on the stamens. A clean background would definitely be better.

They are incredible, another future Photo Comp theme.

I hate getting up early, I didn't even realise there were two 6 o'clocks in one day!

Great image.

 

I had a play, got rid of the window in the BG, sharpened the flower and then the stamen on its own, and also adjusted the colour slightly.

Then added the border (because I like them :P ).

Its a bit rough around the edges, but gives you an idea of how it can look on its own ... Julia.

What can you do to this one to try to improve it Finepix.

Took it this moring in the conseratory, bought the plant in Madiera 4 years ago and this is the first flower.

Only burst out this A.M so going to keep an eye on it and take some pics. as the days go by.
