Hi Steve

 

I have not fished Wathamstow for donkeys years and that was long before they allowed any nights at all so my knowledge on the place is not very up to date. However parking was on site and back then I never heard of any major trouble but common sense is needed in any urban enviroment and so I would never leave anything on display in the car.

 

I assume night fishing is a lock in and if so your car will at least be behind locked gates, so as save as any car can be in a city. But I guess there may be question marks around who you get locked in with.

 

After hearing that they do the odd set night, i have thought a few times about giving it ago but always get caught up in other plans and the thought of how busy it will get with Carpers has always been a deterrent. To really get amogst the Bream I always thought you would need to do as many of the nights as possable. Some year I will get my ducks all lined up and bite the bullet and except that it might be a bit of a circus and have a bit of a campaign over there. But as usual I just have to much already going on at the moment and have committed to alternative tickets. My summer Wingham ticket is about to start and so I will be trying to track down one of its elusive Bream instead

 

Good luck if you do give it a go, there are some good slabs in those ressies. Maybe not as big as the top end of the Wingham Bream but in realistic numbers to make fishing for them worth while.

Cheers guys

 

Good luck over the summer at Wingham Dales, hope you can find the bream. I did see a few splashy rolls in Top bay this May around Top Hump area which I think may have been bream - there did seem to be less weed as well down there as its fairly deep.

 

Hopefully the weed clearing is going well because last time I fished there (2 weeks ago) it was thick with weed.
