Of course the number of fish caught is falling. They have already killed a lot of them off. When they finaly get down to 0 tons killed it means there's 0 tons left in the humber.

Not exactly rocket science.

When I was a kid we used to fish the outfall of Hamworthy power station at Poole.

You could not get any where near the inlet which was protected by walls either side running into the harbour. There was an outer mesh running from wall to wall, and a series of grids which restricted access for fish and the fish could swim away from them because they were too far from the final entrance to be drawn up against the grid.

I expect shrimp would have been drawn in and very small fish, but this seemed a good easy idea.

The outfall gave us the benefit of warm water and hundreds of base and mullet used to feed there.

I fish, I catches a few, I lose a few, BUT I enjoys. Anglers Trust PM

i my oppionon there should be no power station pumping what so ever in rivers etc there are large numbers of under ground water courses all over the country that could be allot less harm full. im not to worryed about good quality drinking water. i think the impact on estury fish and shellfish and all the other little critters is far to delicate to play with saying as there all nusrey areas for every fish in our inshore waters
