Tide times Yorkshire coast?

Hoping to get out on the beach this coming weekend, somewhere around the Hornsea/Bridlington area. Anyone know how the fishing is at the moment and what time the high tides are? Advice on baits would be helpful too

Couple of decent bags of codling up here last night.

Not for me though. Lad next to me got one 8 pound and 1 4 whilst I got 2 both a pund each.

Thanks for the info (and for the link MJB, added that to my favourites).

 

The tides don't look too good for this weekend unfortunately, I'd have to get up at 3.00am to fish the 2 hours before HT, and if we fished the evening tide instead we'd just about make the pub for last orders :(

 

The lads I'm going with (from the pub) are catch and take home (unless the fish is too small), I'm hoping to introduce the concept of C&R to them.

 

If we do get to go, I'll post a report :)

When I first started sea-fishing, I'd go whatever the state of the tide. If I didn't catch it on the way in, I'd just fish it on its' way out instead. Spurn Point was one of my usual haunts, or in a rowing boat out of Brid harbour.

 

I've mentioned going out on a boat to a couple of the lads in the pub, but unfortunately I don't think we'll get as far as Whitby :(
