yup feel free.

me trusty van a couple of weeks ago, for ages it was getting slower and slower. Foot hard down on the motorways, as I come up to inclines it barely reached 50 mph flat out. On proper hills that I tried to avoid I would have to change down into third just to get up them.

So as the old van apart from the alleged tired engine was still in good nick, took it to me mechanic and told him to stuff another engine in it. After two days he foned and asked, how long I was driving it on half throttle. Yup for some reason the cable between the peddle and the fuel pump had stretched and I was only getting 50% of the power flat out. So a tweak and an adjust and the bl@@dy thing flies compared to what I have been used to even as far back as when I first got it.

Done no more and replaced the cam belt and the auxiliary belt, give it a much needed oil change, few new bits around the engine and even got one of these mops on the paintwork and tarted it up to a niceish condition.

So when you see an old berlingo flying past you on the motorways, give us a thought, because it could just be me.

It lives again.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Sounds like a great result for way less money than you expected to spend. Happy for you.

Phone

(thanks for the chance to vent a little)

It can't have been the most economical mode of transport when it was running around on half throttle Phone.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

Ha Ha Barry....I had a 2nd hand Renault traffic van and ran it for 3 years. Never seemed to have much power and would tend to overheat a bit going up hills. Got a bit wealthier and bought a new Transit, dealer didn't want the Renault, so decided to "do it up a bit" and sell it myself.

Fiddled with the points and advance /retard bits and suddenly it went like the clappers.....sold it to a mate who blew up the gearbox :)

Back in 1950 when I left school, I was able to make a nice additional income by buying old motor cycles (if it was described euphemistically as a "runner" that was good enough for me) doing them up and reselling them. It was amazing how often all that was required was a de-coke, new plug and new points to revitalise a machine, and treble its value. Always had one bike in use and one I was working on.

Of course, in those days, the working parts were straightforward and you could buy or borrow easily understood handbooks. I wouldn't know where to start with anything built after about 1970.

no no, big cod, the mpg is amazing now, me foot is hardly touching the peddle as opposed to flat down, honest. Even had the courage to take it to Weymouth, 3.5 hours of driving and I don't think I used any more than 15 quids worth, as opposed to 25-30 quid in the car.

Mind you at 3 am in the morning there was no need for me to go over 55 mph.
