As we now have three (!!!) threads going on zander jigging, this is to tidy up the logistics.

Norma and I would like a boat on Wed Oct 8th if that is still possible please Anderoo

Ok Wed 8 Oct is now full:

- me

- budgie

- jv44

- rusty

- Steve walker

- Matthew Simmons

- Alex

- Tigger

- Vagabond

- Norma

As we may have to cancel because of the weather we can't say for sure who will be coming on the 24th; obviously if we are forced to cancel the 8th, everyone above will get first refusal.

Vagabond, are you and Norma ok for tackle, drogue etc.? Presumably you'll want to share a boat?

Norma and I will share a boat - we may have another AN member with us also - so there might be 2 or 3 of us in the boat - is that OK?. Checking through our old trout ressy boat gear tomorrow (anchor, drogue, life jackets etc) and will replace anything if needs be. OK for rods, reels, line, traces etc and a fair number of big shads from sea fishing - will add a few more suitable lures. What range of jighead weights do you recommend ?

Ok cool - yes 3 in a boat should be fine but I'll double check just in case. Life jackets are provided so you don't need to worry about that. In normal conditions I find 30g jig heads about right but a few 40g and 50g might be an idea in case the wind gets up. That's assuming you're using thin (8-10lb) braid, the thicker your mainline the heavier your jig heads need to be to keep vertical.

Oh and ignore the fluro in the pic on the other topic, you have to use wire traces now.

Are there any regulations/rules about the length and BS of the wire traces ?
