Zander fish-in - October

Love the trophy! Just for fun... Andrew and myself were out again at Rutland today. Can anyone guess the species and weight of the fish in the photo? Winner gets a few of my favourite zander lures! Rich

My guess is that you've caught a nice perch (they must be in there) 4lb plus so I'll go for 4-06

Something unexpected on a lure - bream?

I completed the 'treble' with my first 3 fish on Friday - first fish was a smallish pike, then a perch, then a zander

 

Rich also got a treble, but it wasn't the same as mine

Eel? Tench? Roach? Dace? Carp? Great White?

An eel maybe, or maybe a trout.

Cormorant, otter, small Eastern European?

 

It's probably a carp, they're everywhere.

Here you go, Steve wins! For a little while I thought it was the mother of all perch or zander!

 

P.s. it nailed the lure and was neatly hooked in the bottom lip! All those years at Wingham and we were doing it all wrong....
