Looks like it might feel quite cold tomorrow, time to dig out the warm layers I think! (I was out in a t-shirt last week  )

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

A small cross lok clip at the end of the leader does make life much easier when changing lures/jig heads.

I don't have one of those, I've got link swivels but they look too bulky and obvious

It's never a 'six', let's put it back

Andy advised against swivels and clips too close to the lure, but that may be just a personal preference. I have played safe by not using any./

Just about to leave, so quick answer please - what time to meet tomorrow ?

are they good eating? :icecream:

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Yes, personal preference again I think. I expect tying them on is probably slightly better overall (the jig can't move around in the clip and give you false bites, it can't put fish off, it can't affect the action of the lure) but I can put up with that for the added convenience. Depends how often you change the lure too, perhaps some people don't change much.

The lodge opens at 8am, so let's say 7.30-8. I expect to get there about 7.45, if the rain is bad it might slow the journy down a bit. But I won't go out until everyone's arrived and up and running. Meet by the tables just outside the lodge.

All,

How many fish have you caught (fairly) on a stringer whilst jigging?

Phone

Depends on their mood, on some days as much as 90% will be nicked by the stinger - usually those days when they seem to be in a funny mood, not really feeding properly, little tiny taps and just nipping at the tails. All hooked fairly though. Then on other days they seem to be feeding properly and a lot more will be hooked on the big hook and give more pronounced bites. Even so, a fair proportion will still be hooked by the stinger, maybe 25-40% at a rough guess.
