Photo editing software

Can someone please recommend a basic easy to use package that lets me see multiple photos on the screen at the same time? This is very useful when I've taken a series of shots and want to quickly pick the best one to work on. The package I was using doesn't support Windows 8 and so doesn't work on my new computer. I'd add that I don't use RAW, and only need very basic features.

Gimp, PSP etc are all far more photoshop style products than a simple "quick fix"

Picasa and windows live essentials photo gallery are simple editing tools and gallery apps allowing organisation of images as well as basic editing.

Windiws live essentials is a good package and you can just install photo gallery if you so wish.

You could also scoure the App Store, making the most of your windows 8 install!

There are plenty of apps to choose from there also

Thanks for all the suggestions. As soon as I get time I'll follow them up. Wingham is keeping me all too busy at present!
