Salmon fishing in the Tyne catchment

My understanding is that the Tyne is the most productive salmon river in England at the moment. The Wear not far behind. So I thought I'd pay a visit. As soon as this heat wave ends, and the rains begin, I'll find a remote place to camp and give both rivers a trial. Any advice would be gratefully received.

never try and teach a pig to sing .... it wastes your time and it annoys the pig

I don't know if you've seen this site Andy, if not it might be a useful one to bookmark.

John.

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John
