Whoops, past two weeks, first one, I used the wrong scratch card and got a parking ticket.

 

Second one came in today, cctv states that I parked in a loading bay without loading, I assumed that I parked in a spot where I had paid by meter.

 

How could I commit these atrocious crimes where they require recompense for my criminality.

 

 

Well, as I have given them to me bro to deal with, who wants to bet I won't pay a kin penny to these money grabbing scrotes. :busted_cop:

I just don't bother any more. No parking? Get someone else to do the job, I can always park in front of my house.   One and a quarter miles is the furthest away it's been suggested I park my van

boris with his tfl cronies will force me to no longer work up in that flea pit hell hole.

 

today I parked in a secure private car park, at bow, no attendants allowed thank goodness and took me life in me hands and walked the length of stratford high street, avoiding the blue route bike highway, the most dangerous section of pavement, road for pedestrians.

 

And where the job is, gawed knows how I am supposed to load, unload into the job, bound to get some form of penalty, the only safe time for me to pay a visit is sunday night

One and a quarter miles is the furthest away it's been suggested I park my van, and there's been plenty at over half a mile, not to mention the ones that say "Oh, just leave it in Sainsbury's/The Hospital car park, etc etc..

 

They just don't get it most of them, it's OK walking half a mile or more with nothing but a bloody briefcase, but with 5cwt of tools it's just not on, I don't ever take everything onto a job but most jobs will require five or six trips to and from the van with tools, fixings, transformer and lead. workbenches etc.and probably a couple more during the day for odds and ends; there's always something unforeseen required.

 

Not to mention that I prefer to sit in my van for tea-breaks - no-one bothers me and I can read and smoke in peace. In some circumstances I could quite easily spend the whole day walking between van and job.

 

The last one I walked out of we had a parking compound but it was behind locked gates and because Joe Public was wandering around the area we weren't allowed out (they wouldn't unlock the gate) until 5.00pm, when there was no less of the hoi polloi still wandering around than there were at 4.30pm. There were plenty of their own vehicles moving all day, but according to the little Hitler with the key they had public liability insurance and we didn't - I told him that that was nonsense - and where to shove it.

 

.........anyhoo.... Tony U has you sussed out Barry, you're just an old recidivist. ;)

Barry TfL aren't responsible for parking provision, it's down to the London Boroughs for that. I'm not a Boris fan but you can't pin the blame on him for this one.
