Security Certificate Errors

Recommended Posts

My computer is broken down as it is not loading up windowns Home Edition 64bit so I am working from my laptop.

I do also have problems with the internet on my laptop and tend to get security certificate errors keep popping up all the time.

Mind you my laptop is quite old - as it is an Acer Travel Mate 2300 with Windows xp

How can update the security certifate to stop anynoying pop from windows - internet explorer?

Would appricated any help.

Good call, Andy.

I would not want to just ignore those errors.

Thanks guys - much appreciated.

the next problems on my laptop that I am scanning the laptop for viruses and and getting messages saying virtual memory is very low - how do I correct this? I mean how to increase the virtual memory without messing up the system on the laptop.

Virtual memory is using space on your hard disk to supplement actual RAM memory. You can tweak the settings manually but usually you can leave the system to manage this itself. If it's started causing problems, my first thought would be - "has it been tinkered with", and my second would be "has the drive it uses for virtual memory almost run out of space".

You could try this;
