OUT AT SEA YESTERDAY HARDWORK

Went to sea yesterday first time since 18th feb due to the lovely weather we have been having.

Conditions in the morning werent to bad the sun was shineing and the wind was fairly light , but that was till lunch time then the wind freshened right up managed to scrape a good 40 codling and a few ling the water wasnt very clear so the codling were reluctantv to take the squid but we picked away at 2 wrecks the lads lost quite a bit of gear in the afternoon due to the fast drift with the breeze it was begining to get hard so we knocked off an hour early as the sea got a bit snotty.

But at the end of the day when the water clears which it should over the next few days with the slack tides things look quite promising. :fishing::fish:

The one on the left had only just come out of the water and the one on the right had been laid in a box for 20minuites and its markings are slightly disfigured, but the fish were quite gingery looking they had gone a rusty colour same as the wreck, codling go the same way when living in kelp beds. :fishing:

Hmmm...no comments yet about posing with a brace of dead cod!

WRONG the one on the left is still alive.
