All the best to you and your lass Elton

Cheers :)

Question for Ian: you say the monsters will have to wait for another day - how big have you had them on your boats?!!!

I'm up for loads this year.

Have a small issue of a baby due any day, so need to see how much help the wife needs before I commit to days away just yet, though.

Isn't that just typical..............

Do these women put any thought into when their baby arrives.

We had 2 at 214 pounds last year but the biggest was from a certain loch and if I give the name will have to kill you which was way off the old charts and a foot deep. This fish dwarfed thew 214's

As planned we were out with Donald on the Cheviot at Oban yesterday. We had 12 skate amongst 7 anglers. As usual there was a very unfair distrbution of fish. 4 of us got 3 each :) and 3 blanked :( .

I got a female of 132 Lb a male of 109 Lb and one which looked more like a flounder of about 15 Lb.

It was noticeable that 10 of the 12 fish were males and very hard fighting.

The biggest fish was a 165 Lb I think.

We had 3 double hookups and a quadruple hookup which kept the skipper on his toes.

All fish were safely returned and we even managed to remove a trailing trace from one of the fish.

Good day. good company and an excellent skipper.

Peter :sun:

A bad days fishing is better than a good day at the office. Tight lines all.

Hi Peter

That's some day. It's funny how the big females seem to have gone of the feed. We generaly catch approximatley one male to four females but the figures are the other way round at the moment.

On Saturday I kept looking at the sea state and listening to the bad forecasts and thinking shall I go for it or not. I couldn't tellyou publicly what I's like to do to the weather forecasters
