What a wonderful place to fish. I did the day trip boat a few years back. Eagles, Seals, Otters, brilliant!!

while it is a pretty place to fish, the fishing from the boat has been pretty bad for the last couple of years.

when you fish in god's own country all the time you tend to take all these things for granted and you really do need a few fish to justify the expense of a 2 1/2 hour drive using £40-50 worth of diesel and £20 worth of petrol on your boat otherwise you just end up scunnered :(

the last time i was up all we had was 1 spur, 1 thornback, 1 whiting, 1 coalie and 1 LSD, my friends on their boat didn't even get that many fish, and we know the loch pretty well.

saying that, me, davy holt, steve souter and my mate tony did some filming for sky sports last year on ronnie campbells boat and for 6 of the 8 hours all we had was a couple of small dogfish, then in the last hour and a bit we had loads of spurs and thornbacks to 9lb.

all in pretty surroundings with the sun shining

Unbearable, isn't it? The suffering of strangers, the agony of friends. There is a secret song at the center of the world, and its sound is like razors through flesh.
