I had a very similar experience 5 years ago. I to ended up in A+E and eventually had 3 stents inserted.

One thing I have been trying to do localy is to get fisheries, especialy little used remote ones to put their postcode on their notice board.

If you are there on your own its not much good having a phone and trying to explain between the pain to a girl in a call centre where you are.

Its no good saying ''just to the north of the village take the second left and then right by the next phone box'' if your talking to someone 300miles away.

So far none have obliged me.

I'm not quite sure what you are saying ?

We can all live the way we wish, it's your choice, so good luck.

My money is on getting the treatment I need as quickly as possible, sure the NHS is not what it once was, but I can't complain, I've had my money's worth !!

Bob

what i was saying is act not ignore and make sure if worst comes to worst your nearest and dearest can carry on if the worst happens.

it can happen withouy warning so pop s letter in your safe with all the details about important things like bank passwords etc.

and for goodness sake before you kark it make the effort to put names to faces on old photos ,i have at least 50 old photos i inherited without a clue to who they are so my kids wont know either if its great uncle john etc

my treadmill action (not ignoring chest discomfort) show i may have the onset of angina ,not so bad at least i know its been noticed

at one time i thought your mobile signal was enough to find you but that only works in places with great signal strenght from several transmitters so out in the sticks its useless ,pointless giving map co-ordinates either i doubt they can read maps and even postcodes are useless in many instances ,now they have regional call centers most local knowledge has long gone so the ambulance may never find you especially at my pond most sat navs send you in the opposite direction and you end up over a mile away Edited by chesters1

I'm prone to cramps in the intercostal muscles on the left side of my chest. The worst thing ever for setting them off was bending to get in and out of my ex-girlfriend's BMW 1 series. The look on peoples faces as I clutch at my chest in obvious discomfort is a picture - but I know exactly what the cramps feel like and I would be off and getting anything suspicious checked out ASAP.

Wise words, Bob.

I've ended up in A&E three times with chest pains, including an overnight stay. On the latter occasion I was misdiagnosed. It wasn't until the 3rd trip until a newly qualified doctor diagnosed a gall bladder problem they finally got it right. My gall bladder's now been removed and I've had no repeat.

However, it's never worth ignoring chest pains. It could be terminal and it's not fair on loved ones.
