Sandyknowes (trout) fishery nr bridge of earn certainly had carp in it , as a friend of mine caught 1 , a grass carp , on fly several years ago. You could see them. A recent enquiry was met with the reply that thay'd been netted out , but that there were a few still in there.

do u have any idea how big the carp are in the Forth & Clyde Canal ? and has there been any caught round about the "stables" latly? cheers

Sorry I've got no idea of the size of the carp in the Forth & Clyde canal.

Try a bit of pre baiting and give it a go, you never know there could be a Scottish record swimming around there somewhere ?

 

I do know that the carp have been in there a long time ,also BW stocked some into doubles not to long ago.

monklands canal has some decent carp,been broke off a few times using 5lb line.a hard water to fish as it always covered in weed.

 

newmill trout fishery has opened a coarse pond with carp stocked.

 

if i can think any more i will get back.
