Veggies - ha-ha-ha!

I was selling stuff at a craft fair yesterday: sharing the space behind my table (because she had table behind mine) was a pleasant enough woman, quite chatty - probably in her late 40s.

There was food available at the venue and when someone started cooking some bacon she said:-

"That smell is making me hungry: and I've been a vegetarian for forty years" (I thought that was an illuminating indictment of vegginess in general - and amusing enough in it's own right).

She then said something else about being a veggie and went on to say something like " I can't remember what it's like to be........... long pause as she's now searching for the right word.................

I suggested *normal* - she told me to "watch it!"

Strange lot but i can appreciate why ,if more seen the conditions their chicken nuggets and beefburger animals lived their short lives in i expect more would do the same but i guess like me most know but pretend not to (having worked in a chicken processing plant albeit it for a morning cruelty seems to be the norm in some employees)

My niece is a vegie and in a uni in china ,strangely to the chinese (surprised me seeing they eat so much veg) "vegitarian " to them means only eating the veg in a meat stew or noodle meal with meat juices LOL

She is a celebrity when she goes out ,she is very tall and speaks extremely good chinese ,she gets a crowd forming and not for the usual handouts in poor countries .

She has an "official" as an escort and what they say not realising she knows what they say is very derogatory, she loves the country and the people but if it wasnt for the wests money they wouldnt put up with us

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Its far easier to curse the darkness than light one candle

I was once asked to take a photo for a portrait of a young (30) woman. She had been a long time veggie and her facial skin showed a lot of lines and wrinkles, I assumed as a result of her diet. Took several shots and when I came to print them out I "softened" them to remove the wrinkles. She looked pretty good I thought :)

Took them around to her house, her hubby was there as well, showed them the pics and he said " that looks nothing like you"

Oops!, Den beat a fast retreat
