Just been reading another article in the same paper Under The headline "Skipper broke the law by mistake" about a skipper who broke the 6 mile ruling pleaded ignorant and got away with a discharge plus costs.

Shame the Navey didnt sink this Muppet instead.

I'll post the full item later tonight.

@SUMMER@:

70 hours without sleep

Lol, just a normal trawler trip then :D , bet the only sleep they got was tied up alongside the pier in Grimsby !

Strange incident though @summer@. Have you heard any more? Over keen Navy commander maybe? : I notice on HMS Merseys website, that he he only took command in May.

Yes jaffa. Lots of rumours in the town. Nothing I could repeat without having the solicitor on my back too.

@summer@, you really baffle me sometimes.

If the skipper was a drug runner, then the navy are out of order and his human rights have been violated. Yet if he has just crossed over the 6 mile line, it's "Great! Sink the bastard".

Do you wear sandals and eat quorn!

Once again I have to correct you dear Steve.

My only comment on someone elses remarks about drugs was "I wouldnt have thought so"

My comments about human rights were related to the papers article and were these. "70 hours without sleep (the papers words)and no contact with family???(the papers words) (No mention of drugs in that Steve.)

Are they allowed to do that????? Sounds like a breach of human rights to me. I only expected to here such things from the Americans and thier Guantanamo camp. Cant be right, surely our armed forces would know better than that. I'm waiting for Defra's comments.

No I dont wear sandals and quorn to me tastes like squirril turd.

Lol, for once im with @summer@ on this. Unless the paper is way out (always possible) this looks like an almighty cockup.

If the boat has done something wrong, under what legislation does the navy get to threaten shooting (don't fancy the gunners job in trying to put a round through the funnel on a 3/4 decked trawler without killing someone), escort the boat to port, then detain for 48 hours?

If that boats a drug runner I'll send @summer@ Arbroath smokies once a week for a year! :D

Am I getting confused here? I am confused!

Anyway, stuff his human rights! The human rights law has dragged this country into the gutter. As for the Americans. We taught them everything they know!
