I have to agree with Jan, its not always constructive to see a picture then maybe pull it apart, unless asked to. Sometimes it can have an adverse effect, so asking for C&C (comments and criticism) in your own thread will get the desired response. Also Ferrets "Photo of the Day" topic is a good place where you will get a response too.

Judy could not have put it any better, get out and take some pictures...anything!!

Since I started using this forum, my photography has improved, has my understanding of it. I've had some wonderfull help, and people had always shown me patience as I'm not very comp literate, and have given me idiot proof guides. I've recevied tutorials, been sent discs of retouched photos, been sent and offered comp programmes to help me. This all by people who I've never met! (except one of you).

I've always had a camera, various quality, and love taking pictures. I now carry my camera around everywhere, work, shopping, socialising etc and find myself taking shots I would otherwise never have thought of. With the comps in mind, I often have a walk in my break times, camera in hand, looking for inspiraton. Often return with nothing for the comps, but some other interesting photos.

Whoever you are, wherever you are, even if your camera is the cheapest on the market, get some photos taken and enter. Most cameras and a small lens or a point and shoot take up so little room, and you'll be surprised how often you use it. Even if you use a camera phone, get snapping, enter the comps.

Regards to all, and thanks again for all the help.

The pictures and people on here inspire me.
