Wingham Fish-In 2015

As usual I've been asked by someone who needs to book time off now when the 2015 Fish-In will be.

Some of you have commented that we're always reporting great fishing in the run up to the Fish-In, that has been taking place mid-May. Well next year, and subsequent years, it'll be earlier than before. The plan is that from now on it'll be a 3 day event ending on the last Monday in April. That'll make next year's Sat April 25th to Mon April 27th.

Wingham Main Lake is a little-fished syndicate gravel pit in Kent that's normally members only. For those of you who don't display signatures here's a link to the Wingham web site: http://www.anglersne...ies/wingham.htm

Previous Fish-Ins have produced bream to 16-06, lots of 8lb+ tench to 10-04, carp to 36lbs, plus eels to 5-10 and plenty of 3lb+ perch to 3-14.

For the last 9 years' catch reports see

Peggy will be doing her optional huge BBQ each lunchtime at a cost of approx £7 per day. As always though the fishing itself is free of charge.

Anyone who's made at least 1 post on the Forum when I start taking bookings is invited, but if I'm oversubscribed priority as usual will be given to those who haven't been before.

However please note that I won't be taking bookings until about 2 1/2 weeks before the event.

It always seems like a long time away... but it does come round pretty quick !

Past experience shows I need to post the dates about now as (mentioning no names!) some of you forget and book your holidays for that weekend!

Well we are both around on those dates: but its been over three years since we last did some proper coarse fishing and have forgotten the little bit we knew about it. We could make the Barbecue though just to catch up with a few old and not so old friends.

Bit odd?

I was looking for my catch reports on my two fish ins and they seem to be missing. Now i only caught some very small pike and some eels but you have to have honest reports Steve . :rtfm:
