Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Also Eagle Claw makes both gold and bronze in a fine wire hook

The bronze is available from #10 to #1 from http://www.cabelas.com and other US shops. Not sure about the UK though.

From Cabelas they run $4.70 per hundred hooks.

Harris Angling also has them at £4.50 per hundred. The picture is gold but the stock number they show is 214 and that is the bronze Eagle Claw so I suspect they have just used the wrong picture. The gold ones are 202.

For general fishing the Eagle Claw Aberdeens are excellent, caught plenty on them and they will bend from snags. Not suitable for big fish, but great for Whiting, Dabs, Flounder, Dogfish etc.

As H.A. says try UK Hooks, highly recommend getting the catalogue!
