I'm stuck for local lure venues containing pike in numbers but I was recently sent this article by a Danish mate.

He is now using the rig for everything that will take a lure other than cod.

I thought I would share.

My immediate response was that it would tangle on casting and/or unbalance a lure but apparently, there are no such issues. The only problem so far is when there is a lot of muck and weed in the water.

Interesting concept. Will give it a go, see if it works for me. Thanks for the heads up.

This Years' Targets:- As many species by lure as possible. Preferably via Kayak. 15lb+ Pike on Lure...

Species Caught 2012- Pike, Perch.

Kayak Launches- Fresh-8 Salt- 0

Kayak Captures- 14 Pike, 1 Perch.
