Old Bollies

Quest

Recommended Posts

I have got some old boliies about 2 years old, The air has got to them but they are not rock hard just hard. Will these still catch carp or will the hardness turn the carp away? You can still smell them, but maybe there not as strong as they use to be.

Of would i have to dip them?

Thanks

Quest.

A few years ago, my partner Sue, found an old bag of Mistral Rosehip Boilies at the back of the shed. They were of indeterminate age and as hard as rock; but she insisted on using them straight out of the bag; to say she hammered me was an understatement, twelve carp to my two fish and one of those was caught on one of the boilies she was using.

After a certain age, if you don't wake up aching in every joint, you are probably dead.

washed out boilies are a killer! especially on hard fished venues,i used air dried boilies in france to get around the poission chat and cuaght on them, but they werent that old.
