A main sewer riser has broken just down the river from me and is flooding in to the River Soar.

Emergency teams of thankers are pumping all the back up sewage while the riser is being repaired.

Tankers are coming every 15 mins or so.

Shows how much crap we put in the sewers eh?

 

I asked the supervisor if there was any risk of polution, he said it was under control as the were pumping and dumping the sewage further down the line where it was safe to do so.

 

Just hope it dosen't get in to the river. :(

I would think the number of tankers relates more to the amount of water entering the system through the break than the amount of sewage travelling through the pipe, I bet the plant is cursing they hate their systems being under pressure from surface water.

noone cares about the river soar i see loads of local people chucking all kinds into there and ive got to say it is mainly asians

the biggest poluters country wide are the very people we pay large sums of our money to, to clean it up :(
