How's this for a toad in the hole!

Never had one mutate quite like this before and it’s not done yet! Tried a simple recipe for the first time, two eggs in a measuring jug, then an equal amount of milk and the same again of flour;

wifes goes like that everytime . love my toad in the hole .she always leaves the batter in the fridge for a few hours before use.

WOW, Not enough info though.. Need the following

 

size of pan, was oil used, temp, time, how many snags

Mixture whisked by hand not machine, duck fat pre-heated until spitting in a tray 8" x 4", sausages browned in a frying pan and then added to the tray with the mixture, cook for half an hour at 200 degrees. A far cry from my usual flat pancake yorkshire puds.

Hmm, going to make toad in the hole tonight, I think. Got some nice sossies from the butcher.
