I've just watched a show on TV called Kings of Comedy,a 1 hour show that seemed to last for 10 minutes.

Starring.

The Two Ronnies.

Dave Allen.

Peter Cook & Dudley Moore.

Mr Bean aka Rowan Atkinson.

Graham Kennedy

I grew up watching these guys as well as

George Burns and Gracie Allen.

Morecambe and Wise.

Benny Hill.

Tony Hancock.

Tommy Cooper

Will we ever see the likes of them again,i sincerely hope so.

my mind not only wanders-- sometimes it leaves completely.

Mr. Bean? Funny for about 5 minutes, that one.

I'd say that Peter Kay will be thought of in high regard in years to come.

Peter Kay is a great comic. I just wish he'd get some new material for his live act. I've seen him 3 times, in Blackpool twice (with about 9 months in between) and Manchester and his act was virtually the same on all occassions.

Billy Connolly is brilliant, I was fortunate to see him twice on the same tour and although the shows sort of started the same there the similarity ended.

Eddie Izzard is also great live as is Frank Skinner. :clap2:

For sheer "laugh-out-loud" hilarity, I would find it hard to beat:

1. Tommy Cooper - so, so stupidly funny and he looked the part. A ridiculous clown and unique.

2. Morecambe & Wise - who can ever better Greig's Piano concerto?

3. Billy Connolly - a natural raconteur who just connects with everybody's real life experiences and hits the funny bone every time.

4. Spike Milligan - a nutter and brilliantly perceptive - his written works are classic.

5. The cast of "Life of Brian" - 'nuff said.

:)
