I personally cant see to much damage being done to the majority of waters during this period of change but I doubt that I would say the same if it was my waters that fish were being removed from or individual big fish."

Do the EA visit foreign anglers on the bank and "Educate" them Budgie? and if not ,who will?

Really LT? do you have the facts and figures to support this?

Your not going to tell me you believe every think you read Bob, No I don't have any figures to hand but I have read some very funny articles about it.

It's like the case of the police garden gnome, which was widely publicised, they blew that right out of proportion and only reported the one incident because it sounded sensational.

I can name many other situations where artistic licence has been added to reports.

Bob if you know of incidents or see an incident follow my above advice.

Sean, your eagerness to help is appreciated mate, but please take this advice.

Just because someone says they are a Police officer on a forum don't go offering information to them, you have no way of establishing who they say they are.

Secondly forums even Pm's are not secure. (this site seems to run a tight ship) but still it should not be used for confidential chats, also as was shown the other week forums are liable to hackers and the information could end up in the wrong hands.

Finally if you feel you have any information which would be of interest to the police you can go to a station and ask to chat to an officer in private or stop a PCSO, there are fair few about now. Alternatively if yo don't feel comfortable doing that Call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Just tell us what you know, not who you are.

Please bear this advice in mind, as I would not like to see you compromise your safety and that of your nearest and dearest.

i have no crime to report. it was to do with police call out times, thats all.

woman want me, fish fear me

Of course I do not believe everything I read LT.....hence my question.

sorry Bob for assuming you were challenging what I said.

Bob I have concerns as to peoples motives, it seems to be a topic that has been done to death and keeps re-emerging. "I think it's time for people to put up or shut up", if Anglers have an issue in their area follow my above advice get out there and make a difference by lobbying or educating work to put things wright.

I hope people are not offended by the above statement. I enjoy this forum very much, I have only been a member for a short while and don't want to be falling out with people, its hard enough to make friends when your Old Bill, but I read some of the past posts from months back and some seem to have an agenda. I draw on 24 years of policing with my observations. Anglers can moan for England if they channelled that energy in the right direction things would get better.

Errr...well yes I am LT.

Ok Bob

"(From The Daily Star) Byline: JAMES WICKHAM THOUSANDS of greedy asylum seekers are emptying Britain's rivers and lakes (if thats not over blowing it I don't know what is)

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/arti...in_page_id=1770

to quote Andy Thomas, fishing technical specialist for the Environment Agency Hampshire,

"At the moment it appears to be more of a perceived problem than an actual problem, there aren't hordes of people plundering our inland waters"

Bob it is time for Angler's to bring forth clear evidence of mass fish taking to refute the above statement, I feel the problem is hear say most of the time, yes there have been incidents but not on the scale discussed on forum.

Anglers need to take ownership of the issues facing angling and as I said we should put up or shut up, if we don't we will be open to being accused of being racist, what I Say is bring forth the evidence.

I can tell him that the EA have told Angling Times that last year they only received 25 complaints regarding fish thefts Budgie...and those are the official figures spewed out.....only trouble is it's a downright lie and the figures have been doctored by the EA....want to know more? read next weeks Angling Times to find out,
