Not cheapness - value for money!

I can't honestly see how the Fox one is 'better' than what I use, although it does look good (I wish people would stop showing me pictures of tackle I end up 'needing'!) - once the indicator (whichever kind) is clipped up under the spool they both behave the same way, i.e. if the fish runs away the line comes out of the clip and takes line from the reel, if it comes towards you you get a dropback, as long as the weight is sufficient. The only benefit (and I think it negligable) is the sliding weight on the Fox ones, which is another way (albeit quicker and easier) to add/remove weight.

How much are the Fox ones?

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

the line clip is alot better IMO than any other, but you are right in respects to having sufficent weight, if it works it works!
