Just finished watching the highlights (it was tough to find any) The last 2 games have been just about the worst i have seen them play.

 

Oh and being a Scotsman i thought i'd better put that they were s***e too...

Being born and brought up in england and lived in england all my life and will see the rest of my years in england............and so on you get it.

 

 

 

The England football team are apparentley the elite of the elite of what our country has to offer as footballers. (YEA RIGHT)

 

i have enjoyed watching football and playing football for most of my life and what i have seen in the last fifteen years of the game is a rapid decline in englands decline of succesion of the game. whatever players , whatever managers , (just whatever) the players ,the manager, the admin just don't give a toss anymore because basically when it comes down to the nitty gritty of it all THERES TOO MUCH MONEY IN THE GAME!!!!!!

 

can anyone tell me how these players are deserved of the money they are on?

 

and why all of a sudden in the last 2-3 years that there has been a mass influx of business men(some of them foreigners whose mainstream sport is not football) buying into teams??

 

i think it speaks for its self when business men are buying football teams (when to be honest some of them didn't even understand the game) to cash in on the broadcasting rights / advertising!

take it from me business men arn't daft!! i they see a chance of making a safe bob or two then they're in for the kill.

 

as far as i'm concerned the blame lands on the doorstep of SKY TELEVISION for offering these companies exorbitant amounts of money for broadcasting rights , and so the snowball began.

 

until the players wages are capped or something similar then this historic football team we all call ENGLAND will not alter but infact may become worse!!

I went into town to catch the second half, as it appears that nobody in our village has Sky Sports these days!

 

What a complete load of rubbish. We looked like a bunch of amateurs, with no composure, control, or any real skill. The divot goal was unfortunate (and actually quite funny), but what the hell was Neville doing passing back to the centre of the goal when he could have aimed it just wide?

 

There weren't even any fit women in the pub. A bad night all round.

Well in my opinion, we have an unbalanced team. a year ago, we have the best team in the world, but the worst manager.

 

and as every new manager has to do, is make changes, to show authority and gain respect, but through that results has to come. and they are not.

 

my opinon is that he has left the best player and motivator of the team out, which is becham, we have lost many games through players loosing their cool at crutial points.

 

I wonder what team we would all pick if we were the manager of england, and how it would match up.

I agree with Mr M, way too much money in the game...........Beckham lost an advertising contract the other day for police sun glasses. His spokespeople were a bit upset about it by the looks of it and were trying to brush it off......its only a small deal anyway and wasnt worth much to david they said........£1m a year no big deal? Too much money by a long way!

What went wrong I think was that Mclaren's pencil broke 10 minutes into the game and from then on without the ability to scribble his little notes it was all down hill. Up here in Sunny Middlesbrough it comes as no suprise of course and being loyal Englishmen our loss is Englands gain

I dont have great respect for Maclaren, except that Double Dutch song! But I would have thought Venables could have whispered in his ear. The formation was a risky experiment in such an important game but its the team motivation that gets me, they just didnt look like they wanted it or that they were enjoying it. Thats not just down to the players, a manager has to motivate his team to get the best out of them, they didnt look very motivated to me.

 

We may not have the best team in the world but we should have a world class team, I didnt see much of it though.
