Its got to be a conoflex highlander! had amny big eels on it and it's never even looked like letting me down!

should be able to get one got less than £180. build quanlity is awesome and the rod will last a lifetime!

Why dont you try a boat/ pier rod? I guess you are not having to cast far off the rocks, and they have the power.

 

They also usually work out a bit cheaper. 12lb may be a bit light over the rougher inshore ground, but a 20- 30lb should do the job.

Just found the Penn heavy rod (That used to be in the V range). Its now called the "Penn Surfblaster - Ruff Stuff (Rough Ground)" as I mentioned I went for the RT accelerator, but I also considered this rod.

 

Veals do them.
