bluetooth compatability question

hi,

 

are some mobile phones brands incompatable through bluetooth??

 

i have a nokia 6233 and my mate just got a motorola KRZR (i think) and we can't get them to pair.

 

i think the problem is the moto as it wouldn't pair with my wifes samsung either.

 

would it have an adjustment on it somewhere or a security device that need switched off??

Not a daft question at all. Do both devices have bluetoth switched on, and are both set to be visible?

yes, all switched on, the phones connect, transfer starts then it fails.

 

it's my mates motorola as i can connect to my son's sony ericsson, my wifes samsung and everyone elses nokias

 

tony can't connect with any of them

do you mean it cant send a file IE file transfer stops shortly after it starts,

or it cant pair up withe the superior nokia ,

my mate sent his inferior moto back because it wouldn't accept or send any files

other than to an other moto ,

could be a software issue.

I am 90% sure that the file you are sending is not compatable with the other phone.

 

If you are sending an mp3 file then the motorola may not accept it because it does not recognise it.

If you can lie on the floor without holding on, then you’re not drunk.
