Hythe/ Dungeness

Wondering if anyone has fished the Hythe / Dungeness / Dengemarsh beaches in the last week ? if anyone has, any any reports or info would be very appreciated as I have not been there for a very long time and I hope to go sometime this week. Thanks everyone.

It's my local spot, and I havn't been able to get down there for ages, either weather or family stuff.

I've heard that there are the usual loads of whiting now, about 35 per session, some a good size.

Cod will show about end of November to Christmas. Also dabs and doggies. The weather for the next week or so is strong onshore winds there, so uncomfortable fishing, and in my experience, it doesn't guarantee a fish. My best catches there were in calm weather, or a gentle NW offshore, particularly for whiting, they like it calm.

Best of luck, and if you go to Hythe , fish as near to Fishermans Beach end as possible, best mark. Don't forget Denge, a very good mark, and in my opinion, better than Dungie.
