This event was kicked off last year and what a damn good suggestion it was. The idea is that AN’ers donate surplus fishing tackle to an auction to be held during the Fish-in, a bidding process takes place and the proceeds go into the bailiffs' pot. These are the guys who will prepare the fishery for the weekend and generally ferry you and your gear to and from your swim, an absolute godsend when it’s a wet Monday morning and you’ve blanked (believe me).

 

So I’ll kick off the donations with a perfect condition boxed ABU 706 closed face reel, the spare spools and instructions are with it. I bought this five years ago as a trotting reel for windy days but never mastered the technique, no fault of the reel I just prefer centrepins.
