  • 2 weeks later...

We've got a 9'6" 6/7# Airflo Tec-MT and a cassette reel with suitable fly line we can donate.

I'll sort out a few fishing books and post the titles later in the week. There's still a lot of work round the lakes to finish off first.

But you're already donating your fishery for a long weekend Steve!!! I can't believe there's been such little apparent support for the auction, even if people aren't going to Wingham this year they must recognise the significance of the event and the effort it takes to make it happen.

It's never a 'six', let's put it back

I shall be bringing a few bits down for the auction when I have got them sorted out which will include a very good condition John Wilson avon quiver later type and a virtually unused Abu Ambassadeur Elite 18 footer which is in 4 sections. Originally got for fishing deep pits without having to use a slider. A bit cumbersome but does the job if you are not holding it all day. Did think about making a handle to fit the top three sections but never got round to it.

Chris - I'm donating the use of the fishery to AN; the books I'm donating to the helpers, without whom there wouldn't be a Fish-In.

Paul - many thanks indeed!

Steve - the auction will be at the Sunday BBQ.

I've found something to donate, it's the tiniest fly reel I've ever seen, I forgot I had until I sorted through the trout stuff recently! Bought blind off ebay years ago to go with a little #2 brook rod, it turned out to be way smaller than I expected. It's a seriously cute little thing though and I expect somebody might want it, either to use for fun, to put in a cabinet for, erm, don't know, or best of all, to put next to fish in photos ;)

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music
