Whitby Ship Inn Open Match 2006

Copied and pasted (so any spelling mistakes are not mine :) ) from wsf at Big Cod's request.

 

The annual ship open shore fishing competion will be held on 7 th january with first prize of £500 for the heaviest cod landed fishing times are 12am to 6pm and weighin by 7pm all ticket money are given back in prizes after expences there is special prizes for 10th ,15th, and 20th place it is one fish one prize excluding the heaviest bag which can be won with addition to your place prize this gives competitors a great chance to get on the prize board there is also some great prizes for the juniors.

We allways fish this competion going into darkness which makes it a little more exciting as a lot of fishing marks fish better in the dark and the competion could be won on the very last cast it is also open boundries so you should be able to fish your favourite marks so come on guys give it a whirl to enter it is £8 for senior competitors and £2 for juniors hot food is also provided back at the weighin at the ship public house which is opposit whitby angling supplies tickets will be in the shops soon and to be sold at the following--

If only say 8 people weighin glennk they will share all the moneys after expences this match is about sharing the prize money between entrants and with one fish one prize most people will receive a prize who have caught a cod in this event early january is prime time and fishing into darkness if conditions are fair should result in a good weighin.

Only 5 days to go the ship open on sunday £500 for the biggest fish you never know your luck boys so come on give it a whirl your name could be on that £500 cheque. :thumbs:
