England's Rivers in 'Shocking' Health

Recommended Posts

"The Environment Agency says the figures look bad because the EU's assessment criteria have been tightened", or in other words, "That's not fair, we want to be able to decide our own criteria for assessment".

Can't have been a surprise that there was a pending change to the assessment standards, seems to me they should have already made a start on meeting these prior to implementation.

Easy to have a go at the EA actually, whereas the real problem is this bunch https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/environment-agency/about/our-governance, every one a government stooge looking to make it easier for businesses to take us backwards.
