personally i would consider anything below about 6lb to be a 'jack pike'

 

is everyone agreed ?

No, all male pike are 'jacks'. Realistically size doesn't matter :lol::lol::lol:

Everyones got their own veiw on this but I would I would go with 5-6lb as well. They reckon that Males dont often go into double figures.

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!

Maybe cos carp mean something to carpers and they fall in love with the fish they name.

Pike on the other hand mean 'Jack' to them. :)

A pike's a pike. Caught on appropriate tackle, theres no need for derogotory terms for smaller fish.
