Very sad, and completely unexpected :( My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

 

RIP Gerry. You leave two sets of family behind - the one you have at home, and the one you have on here. You will be sadly missed by both.

Species caught in 2016: Alder, Blackthorn, Common Ash, Crab Apple, Left Earlobe, Pedunculate Oak, Rock Whitebeam, Scots Pine, Smooth-leaved Elm, Swan, Wayfaring tree.

Species caught in 2015: Ash, Bird Cherry, Black-Headed Gull, Common Hazel, Common Whitebeam, Elder, Field Maple, Gorse, Puma, Sessile Oak, White Willow.

Species caught in 2014: Big Angry Man's Ear, Blackthorn, Common Ash, Common Whitebeam, Downy Birch, European Beech, European Holly, Hawthorn, Hazel, Scots Pine, Wych Elm.
Species caught in 2013: Beech, Elder, Hawthorn, Oak, Right Earlobe, Scots Pine.

Species caught in 2012: Ash, Aspen, Beech, Big Nasty Stinging Nettle, Birch, Copper Beech, Grey Willow, Holly, Hazel, Oak, Wasp Nest (that was a really bad day), White Poplar.

i didn't know him however any such news about a fellow angler is very sad

Like pumphypete, I did not know him but such sad news about a fellow angler is very upsetting, pass on my condolences to his family too; plus at least he will not suffer any more and be able to fish all those dream spots he always wanted to and never got the chance to before; tight lines always for him :sun:

This news has shocked me to the core.

 

So, So sad, I hope Gerry has gone to a better place, there's a load of us left behind that will miss you.

i was only thinking about asking about gerry the other day.

gutted.

hopes and prayers goout to his family.

such a sad loss.
