Wingham Fish-In Sat Apr 25th to Mon Apr 27th

Everything is behind at Wingham this year with, for instance, very little weed. The tops of gravel bars contain little food yet and many of the tench have come from silty areas, including in dips on the bars as well as at the base of the bars. This may be because the main food source at the moment is bloodworm, and there are huge hatches of midges (the adult form of bloodworm).

Don't neglect up in the water either, even for the tench. I've caught tench 18 inches over 10ft of water in the Spring. And I've lost count of the Wingham carp I've had on zig rigs at this time of the year.

Sunday is looking wet but sat and mon are currently looking dry, and with the rise in temps and the wind swinging round to the SW I'd say it's looking pretty good :)

Hopefully will do the trick. Did my hat with it as well :D

Well I am finally ready, and the closer it gets the more inclined I am to risk everything and try for a bream... With the perch rods out in the day of course :)

Rising temps, dropping pressure, wet and windy... Bream weather!

Trailer packed apart from a from rods and bait. Spent the last couple of hours or so tying up the rigs and making some new maps from google earth. Weather conditions look very interesting. Can't decide whether or not to take my old igloo suit as I intend to float fish well into dark.
