Advice on reel and line for a 2-weight rod

Well you have done better than me. I tried to buy a JAF reel and could never get a response to an email.

I would be interested in your opinion

 

It was from ebay, about £50 inc postage. It's in the post now, I should have it in a week or so. I'll let you know what I think when it arrives. It looks ideal, but it is a bit of a leap of faith...

Well the reel arrived and it really is tiny! There's enough room for about half a standard 2-weight fly line. It's a recipe for serious line memory cos the drum is so narrow so I'll reserve judgement on practicality, but it's a beautiful little object and looks at home on the short rod. The whole outfit is virtually weightless, and the rod pulls round into almost a complete circle - it's going to be interesting!
