Second HDD Help Needed

??? if you only have one link how do you set it up as slave ,both settings need 2 jumpers?

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

According to that document they do indeed Chesters1. Trouble is, both my original and new drives both have only one link fitted, and one of them works just fine. Plus as I said, BIOS recognises the other as a slave. I'm going to 'borrow' a couple of links today here at work and try some more permutations tonight if I get the chance.

get on screen what you wanna shoot

press printsc button

open paint

press control+v

screenshot should open up in a paint file then do whatever you want with it

save /email/upload etc

 

save it

open this topic press reply

at bottom use browse button to find file

then upload it

 

et voila

In The BIOS under slave drive settings try turning on or off S.M.A.R.T capabilities or LBA on or off, sometimes this may help

It sounds to me as if your drives are connected with a CS (Cable Selct) type IDE cable. Set both drives to CS and they will configure themselves (if I am correct).
