The 2015 fish-in topic

I still fancy doing a sea fishing fish-in - maybe down at Lee On Solent, see if we can get some smoothhound. Spod rod should be sufficient for those who don't have beach gear.

Yep, and in June/July there is a chance of the more unusual members of the ray family.

I am up for an LRF session at Samphire Hoe, early September would suit me around the weekend of 12th 13th.

After a certain age, if you don't wake up aching in every joint, you are probably dead.

ALL of these interest me! I just love something different! The biggest thing about the Fish Ins is they give you the chance to try all these new/different things EASILY. The venue, the tickets 9if needed) the "local knowledge" the whole works handed to you on a plate! Perfect for those who are just to busy/lazy to do all the research! This years possibly the busiest year I will ever have and my actual fishing has had to take a big step back so things like this will be possibly my only way of getting a break and then still only a possibility!

Been many years since the idea of the fish ins was started (and a shame they've taken a bit of a back seat recently) Lots of new members who maybe don't know why they came about or have ever been to one? If I get time I will try to post about them as I doubt I will be able to find the original threads!

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!

I would fancy the home made gear, but I only have 2 rods I built from blanks and a number of quill floats. Nothing else survived my many moves

The two best times to go fishing are when it's raining and when it's not

I'm happy to do the barbel fish-in, can either go for the Royalty or Throop in Christchurch. The Royalty does have loos and a cafe and pubs close at hand. I have to admit I'm hooked on kayak fishing at the moment but was out on Wed eve having a look at the stretch of the Thames. Only been out a few times. Thanks to JV I now have three kayaks!! don't ask. Anyway me being me entered a competition in Swanage on my 3rd time out fishing, had to anchor up which I'd never done before! I was pleased to find that out of the 109 competitors there were 3 women!!

Anyway back to the fish in, I miss meeting up with you all and it would be lovely to see some of you again and some for the first time. Another place we could go if you want to make a weekend of it is Manor Farm at Evesham, Lakes and a stretch of the Warks Avon, Liam had a 2lb 4oz roach out of the river when we went a few years ago and Budgie told me there are zander in the river. A really nice mixed venue something for everyone.

One life, live it, love it, fish it!

Nice one Lyn, sign me up!

Hopefully there'll be some volunteers to arrange some of the others :)

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music
