that icon allows you to register for day 1 release of Windows 10;

it also gives you an update on whether your current pc can handle the system and whether you will lose anything when you install: like Media Centre etc

without registering for the free update you wont get to run the compatibility checker.

chances are there will be a stand alone checker at some point as well.

Nice adware huh. Im moving away from windows completely. Currently trying ubuntu and debian.

Only thing holding me back is photoshop not working 100% on wine (kinda windows software emulator for linux) been reading that wine can actually run windows games better than windows :lol:

has to he said i prefer it over windows. Cant believe its taken me this long to switch (dabbled with it in the past)

Yeah ive used it a few times but since i use it for work i cant afford the learning curve plus as far as getting something print ready i can do it very easy on PS but gimp i dunno. Could end up going to print blind and hoping for the best.

Dual boot will do for now but might just use VM with a realy realy small versioj of xp until im comfortable with gimp (if ever)
