Easterweekend in LA

I went a bit further south than LA due to the lack of accomodation. It would be an understatement to say we did well so I dont think the fish were preoccupied with spawning. 3 anglers, two rods for two days for 18 fish. It was a dream come true. There was a lot of tiddlers ( comparatively) but we all managed a 100+ fish and the best fish was 164 lb.

Well, sounds like I'm last home!

Although the fishing was pants, still had a great weekend with lots of old and new faces!

 

When Davy found out that I was after a Short Spined Sea Scorpion, he took me just outside the loch, gave me a rig which I baited with ragworm, called the start of the drift and lo and behold, I must have dropped the rig on it's head . Off to do a tick in the species book and do a recount.......will sort throuth my pics too to see if there are any worth posting!

I arrived home at 2am this morning Norrie,fair knackered mate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Just sorted out some of our rare fishy moments,here they are

 

Both Johns managed a Scorpion fish. Thanks for unhooking it for me

 

After a longish fight Shaun brought this beauty aboard

That just about covers the fishing side of it. Will be posting up some of our lighter moments in a day or so. There are a few classic moments capured on camera. I am sure we will all have a giggle.

 

Thanks once again to the whole squad. I had a truly great time . I know its great to catch fish but friendship and good banter also mean a lot

Hey, i was quite happy bashing poor cods after what had been a disasterous day on everything else

 

Highlight for me was playing darts with Snatcher, Linda, and the darts master that is Blindog - awesome criak!

 

Good meeting new people, hopefully the fishing is better next time.
