Hi Lenny

looks like greenheart. Would make a very interesting refurbishment prospect  If you put this question up on the local forum

There are quite a few knowledgeable guys on there who could advise.

BTW, have a look at the latest photos from Haddo. When are you coming float tubing ;)

Blindog,,,,do not try to clean the rod up,,,,you will de value it, if its an old hardy rod, i would reccomend you find a local auction site, or better still put it on ebay under hardy,, i think you will be quiet surprised on how much you would get for it, imo i would say your looking at £300-£400, may even fetch more

Flyfish

Take a look in our Ebay shop for Carp Baits, Additives & other items

Cheers for the replies

Got a guy on another forum who got the date from the numbers stamped on it ,looks like it was built by hardy's in 1910,Problem is that most of these old rods not looked after the top section goes warped like mine and its missing the top eye as well,so would'nt imagine its worth that much, but its still nice to have a piece of old tackle and before anyone says anything i'm 43 ;)
