Wrong Colours

I have my Nikon D70S set with all the standard settings, however, whilst a friend took a photo for me last week the colours are not correct, in fact the fish was a darker colour and my T shirt should be dark blue.

My question to you experts is: are there any settings on my camera, which I should be changing to rectify/ stop a replication of this?

JK, Thats about right for the fish :clap2:

Any ideas why the colours would have come out wrong?

Glad I could help regards to the fish colour.

I think, though no expert, its something to do with the white balance. Sometimes you can fix it in graphic programs but I have tried and failed. It seems your camera at the time was leaning towards the warmer colours.

Might be worth a google for you ??

I have attached what happens when doing a custom white balance. As you can see your image doesn't look as warm anymore.

I have Kept the fish colour incase you like this version better

Mark, check the white balance and make sure it is set to either Auto or Direct Sunlight, also set the Optimize image to 'V1+ More vivid'.

If you need any more help on this let me know, I've got a good Nikon site in my favourites with a very nice forum....
