It doesn’t really matter who chairs the meeting. It’s got more to do with who attends the meeting to raise there point.

if you do end up with a commercial fisherman chairing it and you do find it appropriate to take rotten eggs and tomatoes along with you, then at least you will have done more than the so called commercial critics in our part of the world did.

But then again I have seen the commercial representative (in question) throw more than just eggs in his day. So maybe that’s why they stayed away from reality and stuck to the brave world of cyberspace pillaring.

With the commercials and the anglers presenting quite a united front, I wouldn't say that DEFRA were given an easy ride. It was a pretty lively meeting.
