What are these eggs?

I pulled out some pond weed choked with blanket weed today and there were strings of eggs amongst it. There were single strands about 8" long. The goldfish have bred before so I'm thinking that's what the eggs are though I also have koi and shibunkin.

If similar to these then they are toad eggs.

Hmm they are in strings like that but are black. Always had the odd frog living in/by the pond but never seen any frogspawn in there before or had any tadpoles. But I expect the fish would have eaten them all. I'm trying to work out how to put a photo from my phone onto the comp. Will post pic if I can.

   Bad man.

PS. I think it is toad spawn. Frogs do it in great clumps, newts wrap each egg up individually and fish eggs are just stuck individually to the weed. Put them back and let them grow, they keep the slugs down.
