LOL, thanks for the offer steve! I did consider coming, but I do like my own bed too much these days!!!

I might bug you by PM in a few days (once you've had a chill out after the fish in) and beg you for some personal tips to help me catch these elusive tench!

Leon, don't be shy, who are the bods in the pics........one assumes the ugly fellah holding the perch is you but who are the other 2? One looks like Ross Kemp!

I'm waiting for the bailiffs to phone me with catch reports to post up, then I'll be off to Wingham myself.

In the meantime I can tell you Richard Capper has had another big bream in the night, this one going 15-11. BTW, he had 6 tench yesterday, not 5!

Terry tells me that Richard has had some more tench, including at least one 9lber. Richard lost a tench whilst Terry was with him and so Terry has left him in peace.

He's also left several others in peace who are still asleep. All of these though had wet unhooking mats!

Richard's now had 13 tench, including fish of 9-01 & 9-03!! Plus of course his 15-11 & 16-04 bream! :clap2:

I'd add that no one in Wingham history has had bream 2 nights running. He must be doing something right!

Gotta feel for others on the lake though as the catches haven't been evenly distributed this year. Poor Anderoo in the next swim must be paricularly frustrated - mind you he has his turn last year.!

Richard certainly won't be getting the same swim next year!! In fact I've already pencilled in some of the form swims for those who've been unlucky at Wingham before. I've already tried to do this in previous years but we're beginning to get more data to go on.

Final score before I leave for Wingham - I've got the tatties for the BBQ:

Rob Ward's had another tench. Alan Campbell thinks he dropped a bream in the night, Reece has had a perch, and Budgie some more eels.

Final score will follow tonight.

Hi Steve and everyone.

First of all my grateful thanks to Steve, Peggy, Terry and Glynn for all their work and efforts in making this years fish-in such a great success.

I am sorry that i had to leave early on Sunday morning, but i think that after all of the sun on Saturday and freezing through the night and i do mean freezing and what with no sleep since Thursday this left me feeling i little under the weather. still fully recovered now.

As again my scales were not required i felt that i could post some photos of Wingham to show what a truly bewitching place it is, you will see that Steve had selected for me a swim that should have produced and maybe would have for someone else, i must try harder.

The beauty of the place i hope reflects through in these few shots, the last one is Richard (i can walk on water) Capper showing me the size of his Bream, well i think he meant his Bream.

Once again my thanks to you Steve and all concerned.

Fishing seems to be my favorite form of loafing.

I know the joy of fishes in the river through my own joy, as I go walking along the same river.

What do you think if the float does not dip, try again I think.

On the left is Elton the Carpless, the Ross Kemp lookalike is Glyn the bailiff (who having been caught in Elton's jury-rigged alarm system spent the rest of the weekend making him pay! :) )

Aha, I had a feeling that was elton.

thanks leon.

Nice perch by the way!

I'm really gonna have to plug some of you experienced experts for info now I'm fishing a little fished 'specimen' lake. I know it has crucians in it, I know of a 4lb perch, the carp are few and far between but are pristine, the bream go to about 7lb but again, who really knows how big the biggest are. Must be some big eels and in a pool so diversified, I'm sure there'd be a few tench in there too!!!

I'm allowed to fish this one by the way!!
